Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician. She started by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity as well as sexual orientation. Then she expanded her fan base to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was in the form of trumpet. After a classical and jazz education She delved into hip-hop in her teen years. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained viral hits, such as body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC BitcheUSD. The single that debuted was directly connected to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her 2015 travel guide. The resume of her included the musician and author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Aside from early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough roles included Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
